DeafBlind Support Group 

  • Mission: Provide the DeafBlind Community an opportunity to interact with their peers, develop a support system, and share resources in a communication-accessible environment leading to personal empowerment and independent living.
  • Meeting Dates & Times: Selected dates for both online Zoom and in-person.  See the flyer for details by clicking on it.
  • Volunteer/Mentorship Opportunities: Contact resources@dhhsc.org for details.

Support Services Provider Training (SSP)/Co-Navigator

  • Workshop: 1st Wednesday of each month from 3:30 pm – 5:30pm at DHHSC Fresno Headquarters (TEMPORARILY ON HOLD UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE)
  • Topics include: DeafBlind Culture and Etiquette, Communication Modes, Human Guiding, Becoming an effective SSP, Causes of Deaf Blindness, DeafBlind Perspective Panel

Case Management

  • Performed by Client Service Specialists – includes DHHSC’s core services

Support Service Providers

  • Volunteer-run program to provide SSP services to Deaf-Blind community members.
